USask CI Performed at Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan

The annual “Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan” in Saskatoon started in July and lasted until the end of August. This event aims to convey to the audience the charms of Shakespeare’s great works, and at the same time provides a chance for the development of multi-culturalism in Saskatoon.

The annual “Shakespeare on the Saskatchewan” in Saskatoon started in July and lasted until the end of August. This event aims to convey to the audience the charms of Shakespeare’s great works, and at the same time provides a chance for the development of multi-culturalism in Saskatoon.

The Confucius Institute at the University of Saskatchewan (USask CI) was invited to join in this great event to demonstrate the beauty of Chinese culture. On July 26, 2019, the USask CI went to the event and performed the lion dance “Drunken Lion” and the Chinese folk dance “Beauty Chant”.

The performances by the USask CI Dragon and Lion Dance Group and the Chinese Folkdance Group were greatly appreciated by the more than 200 audience.
